Dog Activities – Rainy Day Blues

rainy dog 3

Now that the cold days of winter are on their way out, and spring days and sunshine are on the way, our pups are ready to get outside and play! With spring comes some rainy days, and let’s face it, most pups don’t like to be out in the rain… so what can we do to keep them busy on those rainy days?

Here are some fun ideas for those indoor rainy day blues:

  1. Kong – fill a kong the night before with some kibble mixed with water, and place it in the freezer. Your dog will love their kibble pop and be super busy with it! Make sure to get the right size kong for your pup, as they should not be able to place the whole toy in their mouth.
  2. Kong Wobbler – Place some kibble or treats into the wobbler and watch your pup get into action like Rocky in training!
  3. Treat Ball– fill a ball with some treats and lets play ball!

    2. Smarter Toys IQ Treat Ball Dog Toy
  4. Dog Puzzles– dog puzzles are a fun bonding activity for both you and your pup! Always start introducing the game to your dog slowly, and with quick rewards to keep the activity fun!
